Visual Stress Sensitivity to patterns, such as text may be reduced with the used of coloured lenses.
Vitreous Floaters Annoying little spots, lines or shadows in the vision that are caused by particles inside the eye that float into the vision.
Diabetic Retinopathy The eyes can be an unfortunate victim of uncontrolled diabetes, where unhealthy blood vessels can bleed into the retina and cause loss of vision.
Retinal Detachment A very serious sight-threatening condition requiring prompt treatment, characterised by flashes in the peripheral vision, and a shadow or curtain growing over the vision
Pterygium/ Pinguecula Also known as “surfer’s eye” caused by sun damage, this can grow over the front of the eye causing gritty, dry eyes, and in some cases even distortion of vision.
